What is the Gala?

• It is a yearly fundraising event that may take different forms depending on the year but likely will present as a silent and live auction with food and entertainment.

What does the money raised go toward?

• Every year will vary depending on the current needs and vision of Christ Greenfield.  The 2026 Gala is called “CG’s Miami Nights” and funds raised will go towards a makeover of our K-5th grade classrooms with new furniture and fixtures as well as new technology for those grades. A percentage of the proceeds will also go to support our church’s 7th-12th grade youth program to help fund their trips, retreats and activities.

When and where is the Gala?

• April 18, 2026 from 6-9pm in the CG gymnasium

How do I purchase tickets?

• There will be a link on our Gala website starting Feb. 2.

• Note: Purchasing a ticket is not the same as registering for the event.  Step 1: purchase ticket. Step 2: Register for the Gala.  Each person going needs to register for the event to be able to bid on items.  After purchasing a ticket, the website will prompt you to register.

Cost & Seating

• The cost is $100/ticket.  This includes food, beverage (including alcoholic), entertainment, a bidder number and a seat at a table. 

Purchase Options:

• Personal individual tickets

• Individual tickets to go toward someone else

• A whole table–$1000 (you fill the table with people you want to invite)

• Sponsor a table–$1200 (the committee fills the table with teachers/staff, recognition and advertising if desired at event and on promo material)

Monetary Goal

• CG has the goal to raise $250,000 at and around this event.

Childcare

• Childcare will not be provided for this event however we do have a babysitting list if you are looking for a babysitter for the night. Please contact rbredow@cglchurch.org for the list of vetted/certified teens from our CG community.

Food and Entertainment

• A dinner buffet will be provided along with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. We will have performers, an auctioneer and musical entertainment.

Who can attend the Gala?

• The gala is for anyone ages 18+ in our family of ministries (church, school, preschool, LaMesa, etc.) or friends of our family who are desiring to support our church and school which in turn will advance the Gospel.

Are items purchased at the auction tax deductible?

• If the purchase price is above the market value of the item, the difference of the amount can be tax deductible.  Ask for a receipt from the church.

Can I bid on items or support the Gala if I cannot attend?

• Yes, you can bid remotely from the link of our website starting a week before the event. You do not have to purchase a ticket to the event to bid remotely. There is also an option to make a flat donation.

How do I bid at the event?

• Everyone will bid using the Qtego software on their phones.  All bids will be done electronically with a credit card.

Will bidding open early?

• Yes! You will be able to go to our website (https://christgreenfield.school/gala) which will direct you to all of our silent auction items

Can I attend the Gala and not bid?

• You are more than welcome to attend and not bid.  Resistance may prove futile!

How can I donate an item?

• You can drop the item off at the church office, mail it in or email gala@cglschool.org with the item and details.  Fill out the item donation form on our website.

What kind of items can be donated?

• We are looking for experiences, tickets, gift cards, bikes, grills, electronics to name a few. We are asking for new items or highly valuable collectibles.

Are there opportunities to sponsor the event?

• Yes! There are varying levels of sponsorships for the event. See our sponsorships page on the website.
