Let's Pray, Learn, and Play together at Christ Greenfield Preschool!

One in Christ: This curriculum provides a comprehensive presentation of major Bible stories to help young children learn the Bible and grow in faith. We utilize One in Christ across our entire Preschool program, plus we use The Beginner's Bible to help tell the Bible story each week. Every student in our program receives a Bible to keep at home!

Second Step: This curriculum is used in all 11 of our Preschool classes to help students develop executive-function skills that are foundational for self-regulation and social-emotional competence. Students learn to pay attention, use memory, and manage behavior in a comfortable, safe, and fun way!

Heggerty: We utilize the two levels of Heggerty for our Preschool students, one for our younger 3's Preschool students, and a more advanced level for our 4's PreK students. Students learn phonological awareness skills to establish strong pre-reading skills. Daily lessons are interactive and playful!

Zoo-Phonics: Students in our 3's Preschool are introduced to the alphabet with this multisensory approach. Students begin to understand that letters have shapes and sounds.

Fundations: 4's PreK students are introduced to letter sound and writing skills that are later taught to mastery during Kindergarten.

Eureka Math²: 4's PreK students learn that math is everywhere in their world! They count units they see every day, such as rocks, fruit, and shapes. As students become confident counters, they use numbers to compare groups, describe objects, and solve problems.

Thematic units:  We love to make learning meaningful, fun, and child-centered! Our thematic units are designed to align with seasons, holidays, and events within our school calendar. Science, Social Studies, Math, Literacy, Art, and Movement are all tied together through our Thematic units.

Dramatic Play:  Pretending and role-playing are vital to the cognitive and social skill development of young students. Our Dramatic Play centers are rotated throughout the year between our seven rooms and include a wide variety of props, costumes, toys, and activities that allow students to learn cooperation, communication, and other important skills.

  • We believe that God has created each child to be special and unique and that He has given each child individual gifts and abilities.
  • We believe that through prayer and guidance, the individual gifts and abilities of each child can be nurtured to bring glory to God.
  • We believe that Christ Greenfield facilitates the spiritual, social, cognitive, physical, and emotional growth of children through a play-based, developmentally appropriate environment.
  • We believe that children progress through different stages of learning. We provide the opportunity and Christian environment to nurture them as they grow and develop at their own rate.

Rest assured, we meet the highest standards of excellence in education! We are proud to be accredited by NAEYC and NLSA, ensuring quality and commitment to your child's growth and development. Plus, we hold a 4-Star rating with Quality First!

Play-Based Learning: Our curriculum is designed to let kids be kids! Through imaginative play, hands-on activities, and interactive experiences, we spark curiosity and foster a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Choose the schedule that works best for your family! Whether you prefer full-day immersion or half-day exploration, we've got you covered. Students in our 3-year-old Preschool program can attend 2 days or 3 days, and 4-year-old PreK students can attend 3 days or 5 days!

New for 2024-2025: Our half-day program is now 3 hours long for children in our 3-year-old and 4-year-old programs.

  • 8:45-11:45 am - Morning session
  • 8:45 am - 3:00 pm - Full day session

The 2-year-old Beginners classes are from 8:45 -11:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We cherish every child as a unique creation. Our faith-based approach instills kindness, compassion, and respect, nurturing not just minds, but also hearts.

We know that a small class size is the best way to ensure your child receives the individualized attention he or she deserves. Our low student-to-teacher ratio is just one of the many ways we go above and beyond to create a supportive environment for learning. We limit class size far below the ratios set by State Licensing in order to meet the high-quality standards set by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). We also have multiple Specialists, Interventionists, and Floating Assistants who support learning.

Our teachers hold Bachelors and Masters degrees, and we have a very low turn-over rate. You can count on excellent teaching and meaningful learning!

Extend your child's learning with our afternoon enrichment programs. PreK students who are enrolled in our full-day program not only benefit from a morning Spanish class, but also participate in two additional “Specials” - Art and PE! It's the perfect way to round out the day with creativity and movement!

Our Extended Care Program allows students ages 3 and up to be dropped off at 8:00 am. Full-day students can be cared for until 5:30 pm.

Each class is consistently staffed with a Lead Teacher and an Assistant Teacher. We have a low turnover rate for staff and hold very high standards for educational excellence and specialized training in early childhood development. The teachers provide an environment that is tailored to meet the needs of each student, while also partnering with the parents to provide a safe, healthy, and happy learning experience.
